Skoda Octavia VRS Spotted In Leh, Possibly An Official TVC Shoot
Skoda’s highly awaited Octavia vRS has been spotted in Leh, finished in a striking Lime Yellow marketing shade. The registered unit strongly suggests an official TVC shoot. This suggests the performance sedan’s India launch is just weeks away.
The Octavia vRS has always enjoyed cult status in India due to its mix of practicality and thrilling performance. After years of waiting, Skoda is finally bringing back the sedan in 2025. Skoda had earlier showcased the sedan at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
Styling
The spotted mule carries the aggressive vRS stance, including a blacked-out grille, sharp LED headlamps, sporty bumpers, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The Lime Yellow paint will help the sedan stand out on Indian roads. Inside, expect a dark cabin with red accents and advanced features.
Features
Key highlights include a 13-inch infotainment screen, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and premium audio. Sports seats with memory function further enhance the sporty character. Skoda will also provide multiple airbags, ADAS features, and a 360-degree camera for safety.
Engine
The power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 HP and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.4 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr.
Suspension
The sedan also features sports suspension, adaptive chassis control, and an electronic differential for superior handling. These upgrades underline its driver-focused nature. Enthusiasts can expect a sharp and engaging driving experience.
Launch Date
Skoda has confirmed that only 100 CBU units of the Octavia vRS will be available in India. Bookings begin on October 6, 2025, while the price will be announced on October 17. The brand will commence deliveries from November 6, 2025.
Pricing & Market Competition
The Octavia vRS will cost around Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom). This positions the Octavia vRS against the Audi A4, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, and Mercedes-Benz A-Class. Unlike its rivals, the vRS prioritises exclusivity and pure driving pleasure.
