The RV was supposed to be a temporary situation after their landlord announced a 30% rent hike on the house they were renting, leading them to consider alternative living arrangements in order to save up and build a home of their own. When the hurricane hit, the RV’s roof started leaking and the ceiling eventually became saturated, along with the walls.
