Lexus has not changed anything radically on the LM, but it has made some thoughtful additions to make the luxury MPV a better proposition. First amongst these is that the rear console has received a button for operating the powered rear doors, which were absent before. In the more premium four-seater variant, Lexus has added a rear tray for the rear seat passengers. Not just this, but this variant has also been updated with an auto-dimming IRVM for enhanced safety.

In terms of hardware, the only update is that the already available 2.5-litre hybrid engine that has a combined output of 250hp, now complies with the e20 fuel norms.

Other things on the Lexus LM 350h, including the exterior and interior design, and the rest of the convenience and safety features, are unchanged. It continues with a 14-inch infotainment system, a 12.28-inch driver’s display, up to a 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, powered front seats with adjustable lumbar support, and 4-zone auto AC. Its safety suite includes multiple airbags, a  360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS.

The entry-level 7-seater VIP variant costs Rs 2.15 crore, while the top-spec 4-seater Ultra Luxury trim continues to be priced at Rs 2.69 crore.

While the Lexus LM does not have any direct rival, it can be considered a more premium alternative to the Toyota Vellfire in India.
