Most affordable bikes with ABS in India

Anti-lock braking system, or ABS, is a safety feature that's invaluable on India’s often treacherous roads. Without further ado, here are 10 most affordable motorcycles in the country that come equipped with ABS. It’s worth noting that all the bikes on this list have single-channel ABS only.

All prices, ex-showroom, Delhi.

10. Bajaj Pulsar N160

Priced at Rs 1.13 lakh

The Pulsar N160 is a recent entrant to this list. Priced at Rs 1.13 lakh, the Pulsar N160 gets a single-channel ABS on the lower spec variant, with two other variants offering a dual-channel system. In terms of features, it gets an LED projector headlamp and a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.

9. Honda SP160

Priced at Rs 1.13 lakh

The Honda SP160 uses the fundamentals of the Unicorn but is styled similar to the smaller SP125. Priced at Rs 1.13 lakh, the model's most recent update brought in a TFT display and OBD2B compliance.

8. Honda Unicorn

Priced at Rs 1.10 lakh

One of Honda’s most successful models in India, the Unicorn (currently priced at Rs 1.10 lakh), had earlier secured the fifth spot on our list. However, owing to a price hike due to the OBD2B update and the addition of an LED headlight, the Unicorn has now slipped to eight place. This price hike has done little to no damage to the Unicorn’s sales, and despite largely retaining the same design as it did years ago, its massive brand recall helps it sell like droves even today.

7. Yamaha FZ Fi

Priced at Rs 1.08 lakh

The most affordable way to get yourself a Yamaha FZ today is by shelling out Rs 1.08 lakh for the entry-level FZ Fi. The FZ Fi is based on the FZ V3, which still uses the older design and gets fewer features in comparison.

6. Bajaj Pulsar 150

Priced from Rs 1.05 lakh

The original Bajaj Pulsar 150 is still going strong over two decades since it was launched. It finds a spot on this list at Rs 1.05 lakh. Despite the newer Pulsar NS and N models, the original Pulsar shape continues to find takers due to its established identity.

5. Hero Xtreme 160R 2V

Priced at Rs 1.04 lakh

The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V, at Rs 1.04 lakh, also finds a spot on this list. The Xtreme 160R has always been a light, nimble, frugal and affordable model, which has worked in its favour.

4. Honda CB125 Hornet

Priced at Rs 1.03 lakh

The baby Hornet was recently launched in India. It shares its engine with the SP125 and Shine 125; however, here it produces slightly more power – 11.1hp and 11.2Nm, which is an increase of 0.3hp and 0.2Nm. Along with single-channel ABS, the CB125 Hornet is also one of the most affordable bikes to get a TFT dash and a USD fork.

3. Bajaj Pulsar NS125

Priced at Rs 98,400

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a relatively recent addition to this list, as Bajaj updated this model with ABS. Although the NS125 starts at Rs 92,182, spending an additional Rs 6,000 will get you the top-spec 'LED BT ABS' variant, which not only includes ABS but also adds convenience features such as an all-LED headlight and a digital console with Bluetooth. Incidentally, the NS125 is also the first 125cc Pulsar to get ABS.

2. Hero Xtreme 125R

Priced at Rs 94,504

At Rs 94,504, the smallest Xtreme from Hero now costs less than Rs 1 lakh following the GST revision. Earlier, the Xtreme 125R was priced at Rs 1.02 lakh. The Xtreme 125R still manages to undercut its rival, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, by Rs 4,000.

1. TVS Raider 125

Priced from Rs 93,800

The TVS Raider 125 is the latest to join this list with its new dual-disc variants equipped with single-channel ABS, and is the most affordable bike in India with ABS. These variants sit at the higher end of the now seven-strong Raider range and are distinguished by the choice of either an LCD cluster or a TFT unit. TVS has also revised the tyre setup, with a 90/90-17 section at the front and a 110/80-17 at the rear.
