Built on the same UKL2 platform, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is bigger in size. While its wheelbase is unchanged, it’s longer, wider and taller. As per our 2 Series review, the car’s styling is sharp and up front, it gets a shark-nose look with a bonnet that dips down and a bumper. The adaptive LED headlamps are new, and the M Sport version gets sportier bumpers with blacked-out details. The modest grille is now backlit, giving it a distinct glow at night. From the side, the proportions look better, helped by 18-inch wheels.
The coupe-style roofline looks as sleek as ever, and the Hofmeister kink now has a subtle ‘2’ embossed within. Frameless doors are also present to add a touch of flair. The rear design is simpler, with slim LED tail-lamps and a clean finish. Overall, it’s a refined, well-judged evolution of the Gran Coupe’s sleek design.
