Here, we have considered two competitors — Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure X — to see how much their prices have increased compared to before and how they stack up against each other after the recent revision.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 price after GST 2.0

KTM 390 Adventure X price after GST 2.0
Prices for the KTM 390 ADV have remained the same despite the GST 2.0 rates
There is only one variant of the KTM 390 Adventure X. The KTM 390 Adventure X was first launched for around Rs 2.90 lakh (ex-showroom), but KTM then equipped it with features seen on the top-spec 390 Adventure, including cruise control, riding modes (Street, Rain, and Off-road), cornering ABS, and traction control. The price went up by Rs 12,000, which was justified for all the extra features on offer. KTM has now absorbed the additional GST costs and is still offering the bike for the same price: Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom).
The main difference differentiating the KTM 390 Adventure X and the 390 Adventure is the use of a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels opposed to a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 vs KTM 390 Adventure X price comparison
The 390 Adventure X is priced around Rs 17,000 less than the top variant of the Himalayan 450
Before GST 2.0, the Himalayan was more affordable than the 390 Adventure X, but with KTM absorbing the extra costs and offering the bike at the same price, it is now Rs 17,000 more affordable than the top variant and around Rs 3,000 more affordable than the base variant. The KTM is the more feature-packed of the two bikes, making it a good value-for-money proposition. It also has a lighter kerb weight and comes with alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. To get tubeless tyres on the Himalayan 450, riders have to shell out an additional amount.
