India Kawasaki Motors has announced the launch of an extended warranty (7 years over the standard 3 years) program for the MY26 Kawasaki KLX230. The KLX230 is currently priced at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
The KLX230 was first launched in India for Rs 3.30 lakh. In August, Kawasaki localized the product, and prices dropped by Rs 1.30 lakh, bringing it to Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom prices, India). With the new GST 2.0 rates, the price came down even further to Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), making it much more affordable. Now, there is more good news as they are offering a 7-year extended warranty on engine parts and gearbox components, priced at just Rs 2,499.
The KLX230 is available in a single variant with the option of two colour schemes. It is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 19hp at 7,800rpm, a peak torque of 19Nm at 6,200rpm, and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a 37mm telescopic fork and monoshock, and it gets a 7.5-litre fuel tank. In terms of features, it makes use of a basic LCD screen with Bluetooth and single-channel ABS.
