New Maserati Bengaluru showroom opening
Maserati MCPura makes South India debut at Bengaluru showroom
At the inauguration of the new showroom in Bengaluru – attended by VK Surendra, former chairman of VST Group; Giandomenico Milano, consul general of Italy; Maher Abdalla, GM, Maserati MEA, India & Turkey, and Arun Surendra, chairman and MD of VST Group – Maserati showcased its flagship sports car, the MCPura, which marked the model’s South India debut.
The Bengaluru showroom is the company’s third in the country, after Delhi and Mumbai, and is in line with Maserati’s measured, city-first strategy, which prioritises quality of experience over rapid expansion. Speaking to Autocar India, Maserati head of Overseas Region, Philippe Claverol, explained, “If I look at India, [there’s a] lot of wealth in Delhi, a lot of wealth in Mumbai and in Bangaluru. So, we have to be there.” This selective focus is mirrored in Europe: “If I take France, [it’s the] same story. You have to be in Paris. You have to be in the South of France. There are some areas of France which are not so wealthy, so we don’t have to be [there].”
The Maserati MCPura launched in India 10 days ago at the company’s Delhi showroom opening and is priced from Rs 4.12 crore; the MCPura Cielo convertible costs Rs 5.12 crore.
All prices are ex-showroom, India, before options.
