Coca-Cola’s stock rises as revenue beats forecasts and profit increases

Coca-Cola Co. shares were rallying in early Tuesday trading, after the beverage giant beat earnings and revenue expectations in its third-quarter results, as unit-case volume growth returned to growth.

The company’s

KO global unit-case volume grew 1% from a year ago, compared with 1% declines in both the same period last year and the company’s fiscal second quarter, as an increase in pricing helped offset flat concentrate sales. Earlier this month, rival PepsiCo PEP said that North America beverage volumes continued their long streak of declines.
