Kia India expands Carens Clavis lineup with new trim and six-seater options
Kia India has expanded the lineup of Carens Clavis, adding a new HTX(O) trim and multiple six-seater configurations across existing variants. The move aims to strengthen the model’s appeal in the growing mass-premium segment by offering customers more flexibility in design, features and seating options.
The HTX(O) trim, priced at Rs. 19,26,717 (ex-showroom), introduces premium enhancements such as a BOSE 8-speaker sound system, Drive Mode Select (Eco/Normal/Sport on 7DCT), Smart Key remote engine start and an electric parking brake with auto hold. Positioned above the HTX variant, it comes in both six- and seven-seat layouts and is powered exclusively by the 1.5L Turbo-GDi petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT).
In response to customer demand, Kia has also rolled out six-seater variants in the HTK+ (G1.5T 7DCT & D1.5 6AT) and HTK+(O) (G1.5T 7DCT) trims. These additions broaden the Carens Clavis range, making it more attractive for families seeking a blend of comfort and practicality.

Its interior features include sliding and reclining second-row seats with one-touch electric tumble, a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display, 64-color ambient lighting and a smart infotainment-temperature control swap switch.
Safety remains a key focus, with ADAS Level 2 offering 20 autonomous driving features, alongside six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), rear occupant alert and a rollover sensor. Additionally, Kia Connect brings smart connected technologies, enabling remote access, live tracking and over-the-air software updates.
With the addition of the HTX(O), the Carens Clavis lineup now spans eight trims – HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+ (O), HTX, HTX(O), and HTX+. The updated variants will be available across Kia dealerships in India starting October 13, 2025.
