Deliveries of the new Skoda Octavia RS to commence from 6th November
Skoda has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated fourth-generation Octavia RS will make its way to India in November 2025. The company has now locked in the launch timeline along with booking and delivery details.
Bookings, Price and Deliveries
Skoda will open bookings for the Octavia RS on October 6, followed by the official price announcement on October 17. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on November 6, coinciding with the model’s launch month.
The performance sedan will be a limited-run import, with only 100 units allocated for the Indian market. Like its predecessor, the Octavia RS 245, this exclusivity is expected to fuel strong demand among enthusiasts.
Engine and Performance
Powering the new Octavia RS is likely to be the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol from the EA888 family, already seen in the Kodiaq RS and Volkswagen Golf GTI. The motor produces 265 HP and 370 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Skoda claims a 0–100 km/hr sprint in 6.4 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr.
Imported but True to Heritage
The India-spec Octavia RS will be built in the Czech Republic and is essentially the UK-spec model, ensuring enthusiasts get the same global performance package without detuning or compromise.
Expected Pricing
We expect the sedan to be priced at around Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom), positioning it directly against the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which currently retails at Rs. 50.91 lakhs under GST 2.0 taxation.
Commitment to Enthusiasts
The Octavia RS was last showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, reaffirming Skoda’s intent to keep its performance-focused sedan alive in India. While the car will remain a niche offering, its limited numbers, strong brand following and cult status among enthusiasts make it one of the most anticipated launches of the year.
