A camouflaged new-generation Renault Kwid EV has been spotted testing on Indian roads, hinting at its upcoming arrival. This signifies another sighting, although the latest test mule has a reduced wrap compared to earlier fully camouflaged versions. The Y-shaped tail lamps, rear wiper, and steel wheels reveal its identity.
Powertrain Details
Renault will base the Kwid EV on the Dacia Spring EV, which debuted globally last year. The model is expected to have two motor options: a 44 HP base variant and a 64 HP higher variant. Both versions are likely to utilise a 26.8 kWh battery pack, claiming a range of around 220 km.
Outlook
Although Renault has not confirmed an India launch or detailed strategy, the Kwid EV could become the brand’s entry-level electric car in the country.
