Mahindra’s portfolio welcomed new entrants like the all-electric XEV 9e, BE 6 and XEV 9S, along with the Thar facelift and Thar Roxx into its fold over the past 18 months or so. The Indian auto major, however, is not expected to introduce any new nameplates in 2026. The year is not going to be a completely dull one as Mahindra is planning to launch the XUV700 (now the XUV 7XO) and Scorpio N facelift. Here is what prospective buyers can expect from these two SUVs in 2026.
Mahindra XUV 7XO (Launch in January 2026)
Price: Rs 14 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (est.), Engines: 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel.
After four years on sale, the Mahindra XUV700 is set for a mid-lifecycle refresh under the moniker ‘XUV 7XO’. Camouflaged test mules of the XUV 7XO reveal a revised exterior, though the updates appear largely limited to soft parts. The front end looks sharper with a new grille featuring larger air intakes, while the headlamps adopt a twin-pod design. The signature C-shaped DRL seems to be retained in a sharper form and could be joined by a connected light bar.
At the rear, the new tail-lamps follow this updated design language. Expect revised bumpers too, along with new aero-optimised wheels. The bigger changes are on the inside, where a triple-screen layout takes centre stage, borrowing heavily from the brand’s born-electric SUVs. Powertrains are likely to remain unchanged, as will the option of a 6- or 7-seat configuration.
Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift (Launch in Q1 2026)
Price: Rs 14 lakh to Rs 26 lakh (est.), Engines: 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel.
The Scorpio-N will get a light nip and tuck for 2026, with spy shots suggesting changes to the lighting, trim elements and wheel designs. Inside, expect the 10.25-inch infotainment screen from the Thar Roxx, and a few more creature comforts. The 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are expected to continue unchanged, with the option of 4×4 on the latter.
